 |
| Mr Swagman's fold out tent section uses high
quality 10 and 12 ounce Australian canvas and is generously
sized to house a family of four in comfort. Within
minutes you can be sitting back relaxing at your campsite.
Large insect proof windows and doors ensure your camping
comfort. |
 |
 |
| The main body of Mr Swagman’s camper trailer
is a custom, purpose built 2.14m X 1.68m X 0.5m rust
resistant 16 gauge zinc steel body finished in hammertone
paint. |
The body rides on a 75mm X 75mm X 3mm box section
chassis which is attached to a 100mm X 50mm X 3mm
draw bar, which is 1.6m long for optimal weight distribution,
towing and reversing. |
 |
 |
| Mr Swagman uses independent trailing arms with
coil springs and heavy duty shock absorbers for its
combination of load carrying ability, safety, reliability,
ease of maintenance and excellent handling characteristics.
This suspension system provides reduced unsprung weight,
smooth ride, built in sway control and is extremely
reliable. |
Replaceable 1400kg rated stub axles feature a
unique toe in/out adjustment to ensure even tyre wear. |
 |
 |
| Mr Swagman uses the popular and effective HyLander
offroad coupling for its safe, reliable and flexible
towing abilities while on and off road. This coupling
provides the ultimate in trailer/vehicle flexibility.
The HyLander coupling utilizes the standard 50mm towing
ball found on most tow bars – no need to change anything
from standard. A hand brake is also incorporated to
aid in safety when unhitched. |
The Hylander hitch is recessed into the draw
bar for greater ground clearance and increased strength.
Double safety chains, hand brake, electric brakes
and removable jockey wheel are all included. |
 |
 |
| 10-inch electric brakes provide superior braking
performance while on and offroad and provide peace
of mind to the driver and passengers in event of an
emergency. |
A pneumatic jockey wheel aids in easy manoeuvre
of the camper trailer |
 |
 |
| Two wind-down stabilizers at the rear, coupled
with the wind-up jockey wheel enable a solid, level
set-up even on irregular ground. Mr Swagman has even
placed a bull's eye bubble on the draw bar to help
you get your camper trailer level. |
A stone guard at the front of the trailer is
an essential item on any offroad trailer. Mr Swagman
has shaped his mesh and heavy duty PVC stone guard
to deflect stones down and away from the vehicle to
prevent broken windows on the rear of the tow vehicle. |
 |
 |
| A recovery eye is attached to the rear of the
trailer to allow shackles, ropes, straps and chains
to be used without damage to the trailer to help extricate
your trailer from a bogging. |
A water and dust proof, lockable storage box
is attached to the front draw bar - ideal for tools,
tarps, camping gear or anything you choose. |
 |
 |
| A deep cycle battery pack with a 12-volt outlet
is located in the front storage box on the draw bar
of the trailer. This battery pack is charged via the
tow vehicles charging system. |
The front passenger side of the trailer features
a full width, slide-out kitchen incorporating a dual
cast iron cooker, recessed removable sink and hand
water pump, table top and storage cupboard. No need
to skimp on the comforts of home cooking while out
camping with a Mr Swagman offroad camper trailer. |
 |
 |
| While nice shiny cook tops and sinks look good,
Mr Swagman finds the durability of a cast iron cooker
to be superior. The removable sink allows you to dispose
of your washing up water easily - why drain it to
a bucket underneath and then tip that bucket out?
Drain tubes are fine - provided they are long enough
and don't drain back to your tent area. Mr Swagman
believes his removable sink option to be easier all
round. |
Outdoor cooking at it finest. |
 |
 |
| 2-burner cast iron cooker allows for large pots
and pans to be used. |
Kitchen is easily accessible without setting
the tent up. Automotive pinch-weld rubber keeps water
and dust out of the kitchen door. |
 |
 |
| A 9 kg gas bottle and regulator is fitted to
the left hand side of the draw bar for easy connection
to the cast iron gas cooker. |
A 65 litre plastic reinforced water tank under
the trailer (to keep centre of gravity low) supplies
clean, fresh, odourless water to the hand water pump
at the sink. The water container has approximately
10mm thick walls, so negates the need for a separate
stone guard - which can 'trap' small stones and eventually
wear through the tank. |
 |
 |
| Key locking water filler provides peace of mind.
|
A twin jerry can holder, mounted on the right
hand side of the draw bar, enables either 40 litres
of extra fuel or water to be carried. That takes the
water carrying capacity of a Mr Swagman's offroad
camper trailer to 105 litres plus any other containers
you may carry inside the trailer. |
 |
 |
| Three brand new 31x10.5R15 tyres on brand new
white steel off road rims are included with Mr Swagman's
Camper Trailer. Why new tyres and rims? - Mr Swagman
is against fitting cheap second hand tyres and rims
to any trailer. Safety and reliability is paramount
when travelling in the bush. |
An inbuilt pole holder carries all the poles
needed for the awning |
 |
 |
| Key locking flush-fit chrome locks are fitted
to trailer doors and tool box. |
Automotive grade pinch-weld rubber seals are
used on door openings to prevent ingress of water
and dust. |
 |
 |
| LED 3-in-1 tail lights are incorporated to provide
long lasting, durable and low current draw lighting. |
Large under-bed storage area can be accessed
from the rear tail gate or from a lift up door under
the mattress within the tent when set up. |
 |
 |
| Two removable H-frame bars (optional extra) can
be included with Mr Swagman's camper trailer. These
are ideal to hold a roof top aluminium boat, roof
racks, canoes, bicycles and many other items. |
Inner guards are lined with an anti-chip coating.
|
 |
|
| Metal mud guards and rubber mud flaps help to
protect the trailer. |
