| Heavy duty 4WD shock absorbers and correctly
rated coil springs are used on Mr Swagman Camper Trailers. |
 |
 |
| Mr Swagman uses independent trailing arms with
coil springs and heavy duty shock absorbers for its
combination of load carrying ability, safety, reliability,
ease of maintenance and excellent handling characteristics.
Replaceable 1400kg rated stub axles feature a unique
toe in/out adjustment to ensure even tyre wear. This
suspension system provides reduced unsprung weight,
smooth ride, built in sway control and is extremely
reliable. |
Each trailing arm cycles totally independent of
the other, providing sway-free tracking while travelling
at high speed. Low speed 4WDing allows for high stability
in rough conditions and superior ground clearance
- with no beam axle from side to side. |
 |
 |
| Rough roads (pot holes, corrugations and any
uneven surface) demand a compliant suspension system
to protect both the trailer and its contents. Mr Swagman
utilises correctly rated off road coil springs and
heavy duty 4WD shock absorbers to control the trailer
and its load at all times. |
Mr Swagman will match (as close as possible)
the wheel track of the camper trailer to that of the
tow vehicle - this helps towing in off road situations. |
 |
 |
| Curved trailing arms utilising thick walled,
square section steel, braced for rigidity ensures
true tracking of the trailer. |
Simple adjustment ensures the toe in/out is correct.
This ensures tyre wear is kept to a minimum |
 |
|
| Replacement stub axles are available for the
trailer and are easily changed. |
